Created in March of 2011,VFC-MD started with about thirty members who were all above thirty-five (35) years of age.
After its creation, VFC-MD inherited and still maintains the Briggs Chaney field at Cross Creek park,3530 Briggs Chaney road,Silver spring, MD 20904 as its home field.
Since 2011,VFC-MD have had five successful presidents,beginning from ESQ. Benjamin Ndi,who served a one year term as president, before its constitution was amended in 2012 which provided for a two years term,with the possibility of running for the second term.
In 2012,ESQ Benjamin Ndi was succeded by ESQ Denis Nkeh who had two successful terms,before passing over the presidency to Dr. Roland Fonjong.
After serving two terms, Dr. Fonjong made way for Mr. Bertrand Boma to two terms as the club’s fourth president.Mr. Boma’s last tenure led the club to the current president, Chief Luma A. Becke who began his first tenure in 2025.
Since from inception, VFC-MD, trains every Tuesdays and Thursdays, and plays its friendly games on Saturdays. During winter,December through March,the club plays indoors soccer,and outdoors sessions kick in from the beginning of April.
For the passed fifteen years,VFC-MD uses blue, white,and red as its official colors,and displays a prediminantly black shield with an orange colored outline,and the middle are two sky-blueish embroidered lions,standing over a soccer ball,as the club’s logo.
Since its creation in 2011,the embarked on local friendlies around the DMV,which later-on, translated to the creation of the first NVT soccer tournament that they hosted at Allen pond park in Bowie, Maryland, in 2015.
After losing the 2015 NVT finals to Boston in this tournament, VFC-MD have played and won the NVT in Dallas in 2017,the DMV soccer league in 2022,and the NEVT soccer tournament in 2024,respectively.

●Chief Luma A. Becke *(President)*.
He oversees every aspects concerning the day-to-day running of VFC-MD, ranging from but not limited to executive,administrative, and financial issues.
He chairs all Exco as well as general assembly meetings.
He’s a chief signatory to club’s bank account,and makes the final financial decisions.
●Henry Yokwan Yomba ( *Vice president* )
He serves as a deputy to the president,and would also chair the club’s general assembly meetings.
●Divine Fombu ( *Secretary general* )
He holds the second highest position after the president,and would deputise in the absence of the president and Vice president,but primarily handles all secretariat duties,and operates as keeper of the seal.
He ensures that records are generated and well kept for future references.
He works in close collaboration with all departments of the Exco,or committees,for a coherent record-keeping.
He also participates in, or leads some committees in recommending, reviewing and implementing the agenda of the club.
● Rene Nunyi ( *Team manager* )
He creates yearly calendars for the club,and follows through to ensure the club’s agenda are met.
For example;he drafts the club’s annual tentative budget based on needs,presents it to the Exco to review, before taking it to the general assembly for voting and approval.
He lays down a timetable for all the club’s footballing activities throughout the year,including but not limited to, indoors or outdoors practice sessions,friendlies matches,and tournaments like the Northeast veterans tournament, DMV soccer league, the NVT, and the cross-border charity soccer programs that unravels in Cameroon every December.
He recommends coaches and team captains for presidential approval,as well as soccer equipments such as uniforms, balls etc..
He overseas logistics, feeding,and the general wellbeing of every member during tournaments.
● Leslie Aloh ( *Treasurer* )
He creates payment channels to facilitate ease of membership registration payments,and disburses funds when necessary.
●Achiri Nyindem ( *Finance secretary* )
He records all financial transactions and works hand in hand with the treasurer,to present financial statements during meetings.
● Bertrand Fuango ( *Ass TM/Equipments manager* )
He assists the team manager when necessary,and ensures that team equipments are available and in good standing.
● Divine Kima ( *Public Relations Officer* )
He oversees communication between the Exco and the general body.
He makes recommendations and manages the club’s social programs such as cookouts etc.
